F-100 raptor restomod idea

I have project in mind of taking an old f100 short bed and making it into an old school raptor. with 351/383stroker making about 500hp,automatic tranny with shift kit, using modern f150 suspension to make it perform like a raptor, fox racing shock, big wheels ,and tires. Customize a grill with big Ford letter and putting appropriate raptor logo on the truck. So if you guys would give ideas on how to build my dream truck. I do want this to be my DD

Something Like this

To behave like this

The best way would probably be putting the f-100 body on the raptor chassis. But you would need to use a long bed, or shorten the raptor frame to fit a single cab short bed body.

If your going for off road performance, a lifted twin I-beam is hard to beat IMO, If you want 2wd.

You can put any body on any frame...it's just a matter of difficulty. I rented out part of my garage to a kid who put a Subaru body on a Jeep Cherokee, ended up looking like a Subaru with a lift kit. It helps to measure out the distance between the wheel wells and cab and bed mounts. The closer they are to being the same between the two vehicles the easier it will be. It's much easier to move the cab and bed mounts than it is to change the distance between the wheels.

You don't need to start with a raptor, you can get long travel suspension kits that will out perform the factory components. You just need sufficient funding.

What is your definition of "major modification"?

Don't take this as a slam but I think your idea needs alot more thought, research, planning, and a dose of reality.

Do you have the means to accomplish such a project? Means as in tools, facilities, resourcefulness, and fabrication skills? Grand ideas are great and better yet if it is successful but by the tone of your questioning is leading me to conclude that there is major brainstorming going on but a lack of understanding of such an undertaking.
