2008 Ford F350 5.0 with automatic transmission, extended cab, 2 wheel drive. While on the highway and in cruise control, and only when climbing a small incline, the transmission jerks and shutters. Feels like transmission starts to downshift, but then doesn't, back & forth. If climbing a much larger hill, the transmission downshifts just fine. Transmission shifts just fine while NOT in cruise control. Was thinking electronic module or sensor. Does anyone have any specific information on the exact electronic part that may be faulty? Thank you.

 

My 07 Expedition does this and i was told its the spark plugs how many miles do you have? I am on 108k with original plugs lol.

 

About 60,000-70,000 on a dealer rebuilt engine just before I purchased new. No idea what happened to engine prior. About 125,000 on vehicle.

 

Its a gas motor correct? It could still be the plugs because they are supposed to be changed i believe every 50k.
