You might want to get that looked at Aaron. I've been with my wife 15 years now. All is good and wouldn't want it any other way.

Congratulations Glenn and Brian. My wife and I will celebrate lucky number 13 this summer, we're still newlyweds....

I don't know anyone who will try and tell you it's all fun and games. I was having this conversation with a young man (who happens to be dating my youngest little sister) and he asked how I knew my wife was "the one". I told him I didn't think she was the "the one", I chose to make her the one for me. It's a commitment you have to choose to make and stick to.

For my wife and I, we're like the Apollo 13 mission, it certainly doesn't all go according to plan, but "Failure is not an option".

Anyway Aaron, about that truck... Did you get the transmission job you were working on for family done so you get your DD back? I saw pictures over the weekend on Facebook, but I didn't hear whether you got it all buttoned back up.

It was ready to go in Sunday. I however did not touch it again until last night. It needed a starter so I swapped it first. Its up under the intake so it looked ugly to do otherwise. I'm hoping I have the motivation tonight to put the trans in and maybe finish it tomorrow night.
After I get home I just want to be with my gals and tired.

Believe me, I know the feeling. I spent a couple hours putzing around in the shop on Tuesday night, but that's about it for me as well. My sister is in town from Colorado this week, so we have been spending a lot of time with her while she's here. I have the truck in there now though, so as soon as I have time again, it's on!

I'm having the opposite problem, I'm motivated to get the 6.9 back together, but they sent me damaged parts!! However in their defense they did credit my account back. Can't argue with that kind of service.

Typical business, no foresight! I don't know what the RR does now but they used to run a skeleton crew and when things got busy, they didn't have enough people, LOL!

I would like to let loose but he is new and only been here a few weeks.
He inherited a crew 3 people short and having no leadership and very behind. So far we have three guys hired with varying start dates.I have been running the show for 6-8 months by myself. He knows I'm worn down . I think its gonna get better here soon. I sure hope anyway.

I know the feeling Aaron. I usually go 7 days a week for 3-4 months at a time. Sometimes I get a day off at the end of it, sometimes it's a few. Usually by the third month I've about had it. That's when it start to really wear on me. The perk of being on the farm though is I get to see my kids on the bus and off the bus. I'm always around or very close. Sometimes I think about selling out and going back to Monday thru Friday but I don't think I could work for someone else again. Oh well. Only 2-3 more months and I can take a couple of days off :P
