Saw all, band saw then flap disk on 4" angle grinder was what got me there.
My turbo outlet is angled up to high to clear the y. The plenum is too highhigh to let the turbo move to the drivers side to make the outlet have clearance to angle down.
Bad thing is I trimmed the y boots I have down and now with flat plenums will prob make my boots too short.
Fun.
i gotcha. yeah, i have my s366 sitting pretty low and it is quite close to the driver side plenum. like, its going to be a real pain if i ever have to get the plenum off.
though, if you make your own plenums, just make the tubes as long as you need them! i made my DIY plenums more complicated than they needed to be, but still they really werent bad to fab at all.
i used this place for mine. i can't talk about how long they'll last, but the quality of the boots appears good. they don't carry constant torque clamps, which is annoying, but their tubing and boots were cheap enough that i was OK going elsewhere for the clamps.
Well all I have to say is diy may be cheaper but it shure nuff is far from free. in the end it will be worth it.
I agree, it will be worth it. The thing is you have to end it sometime or it could go on forever! Kind of like tinkering with a hotrod, you know what I mean there.
mine's not even on the road again yet, but i'm already dreaming of lockers, new tires, etc! is there an AA equivalent for truck mods? ...or are we already there?

There is no way this is AA for truck mods!!....we are all enablers!....especially Travis! LOL!!!
Thanks to all of you guys, I am a full on 12 stepper for truckoholics!! LOL
It wouldn't matter if it was a one step program, I'd fall off that one step. I have quit drinking, quit smoking, and quit chasing fat women......but I could NEVER give up my trucks.....NEVER!
