Cost of fuel?
#2
Diesel's ridiculous and I hate to say it, but I'm glad I don't have my truck anymore or the price of fuel would be pissing me off. Right now at most local stations it's anywhere from $2.88-$2.99 for 87 octane, but diesel is $3.85-$3.89. I don't know how they can justify the cost of diesel other than that they're gouging all the companies working in the Marcellus field here.

It might have something to do with trying to discourage new diesel driven vehicles with better mileage per gallon and almost equal performance if not better than gas vehicles, and no I do not believe in propaganda, I'm not into any of those conspiracy blah blah blah, etc just stating the obvious.
It used to be a trade off mileage in exchange of performance for diesel vs gas vehicles, not so anymore. Now if you travel around the world you will see the difference. The U.S. is still the largest consumer market and somehow we are kept away from vehicles that carry the diesel engine somewhere else, under excuses like: People won't buy it, is dirty, etc and we just buy into it, or perhaps have no influence over it. The new Ranger anyone?
