I mostly see $1,000 to $1,250 here in rural northern AZ, but they are very scarce and everybody wants/needs them for off road toys or doing work in the mud and snow. You only see one or two per year parted out on CL.
Thanks guys. That's actually how he wound up with it. He was going to put it under his Dakota mud truck, but he had to take the trans out of it and put it in his daily driver. He's come up with a Toyota 4x4 that needs a motor and was going to sell the axle to finance a motor purchase. He's currently driving a V8 4x4 Dakota to work about 25 miles one way. Told him that he needs to get the yota going! Thanks again, I'll let him know.
I see King Pin 60's for around 1000 complete around here. I paid 600 for mine with a 10.25 sterling. I rebuilt my 60. if its all rebuilt, new wheel bearings lockouts rotors diff bearings etc, id say id be worth 1200 at least. those parts get pretty expensive
$800-$1000 around here, doesn't seem to matter which type. That's WHEN you can find one, which is becoming more and more INfrequent with every passing year.
I got my 88 60 for 300 hub to hub, see the go for 200-400 here in New England a lot if you know where to look. but as stated out west 1k or higher
Where are you finding them for that cheap??? Everything I see is closer to $1000, but I haven't really been looking recently.
I might need a dana 60 with 3.54 gears for my '93, depending what I do with it.
In northern California, I see them regularly posted for $1500 if in good shape, never less than a grand, and sales I am aware of personally never actually sold for less than a grand. When I say this I'm talking about drivers drop 35 spline inner open knuckle Ford's though. They seem to get snapped up pretty quick too.
My casual observation is that is wide variation in pricing by region.
