Hi guys,

I'm trying to replace all the rubber trim and seals on my '78 F150 4x4.

I'm looking at ordering the vent window seals from ***. They have the seals for $39.99 each. Is this a good price?

Also, the illustration in the catalog doesn't look like my truck. My windows look more like the illustration for a 1980-86. The location of the hinges are the most noticeable difference. Are the *** illustrations off, or do I have the wrong doors / windows on my truck?

that is a 73 to 79 door, if ya got a 78 truck that is the correct door. you would not be able to put a door from an 80 series onto a pre 79 without having some major work done. the body style in 80 and up changed quite a bit from pre 79

 

That's what I figured - but the pictures don't match. Now I'm afraid to buy the parts, I don't want to get the wrong thing.

I followed the automatically generated link to motor haven but I didn't see any vent seals for a '78 truck ... I'll double check though.

I think this problem came up a couple of months ago. I think motohaven used to have them, but now no one can find them on the webstore.
