1999 F250 front brake diagram or pictures 7700 might work also
Before I go to install the parts on my F150 I just want to make sure I have everything.
This is a link from advanced auto parts and SLC742 looks much different than SCL600, both caliper and bracket.

Any idea if the SLC742 is correct or not?

After about a half hour with customer service I was given this explanation about the two different style calipers and brackets linked above. At least that is what the rep said the supplier told him.
There where calipers that came stock with metal pistons and there where ones that had the phenolic piston. I have only seen the style shown in the link pictures with the phenolic ones (SLC600). The core charge on those is only $30 where the other style is $70 which could indicate how rare they are.
Bottom line is that the Phenolic style piston caliper is remanufactured with a metal piston but I will know for sure when I pick them up tomorrow.

In case anybody thinking of buying the SLC600 & SLC601 (from Advance)calipers and brackets for upgrading your smaller front brake the pistons appear to be steel with a phenolic coating on the seal side of the pistons to prevent rusting and pitting. The pistons do have a larger diameter and the pads have more friction area.
