Coolant reservoir leak..???

So I live south of buffalo and am blanketed with about 3-4' of snow. I tried to take the 350 to a local market at the end of my street but only got about 100 yards and the bumper and dually fenders were pushing snow. I noticed some yellow/green looking splotches in the snow on the road and in my driveway. I opened the hood a took a quick look. I could see some yellow snow on the front driveshaft front u-joint and fluid around the coolant reservoir and in the general vicinity of it. I wiped with a cloth but couldn't tell if if was yellow like the coolant as crud wiped off with it. Other parts of the motor looked very clean and dry. Under the reservoir and around it looked wet. I think I've noticed this before during winter. Just don't know if I have a coolant leak or a does that reservoir leak? It's never run low during use.

Ideas?

Where to check for coolant leaks?

Oh yea, 2 more feet of snow coming tonight thru fri. Horrible.

Thanks for any ideas and yes I know I need to dig deeper. The truck will sit in the garage and not be use in the winter. It just sits higher that my escape and I wanted to see if it could make headway.

I think the most accurate way to check the system is a pressure test. If your loosing coolant though it could be the hoses expanding and a minor hole leaking, could also be the reservoir like you mentioned or even the radiator itself.

Yes. I'll need to look into it further. Seems like the reservoir bottle is the issue but I could be wrong. Too cold and snowy to check for a bit. There were a good amount of "spots" so something was leaking a bit.
