So I have a 76 250, not sure if it's a 360 or 390, but it has a 4 barrel carb on it. And the po didn't know a thing about the truck. I'm trying to figure out what size the carb is and if it's the right one for this motor. The carb says 1850-5

I'm going to buy a new carb. But I'm trying to figure out the two different 600 carbs. One has 1 fuel inlet and the other has 2? What's the difference. Also I'm new to the carb world. Do I also need a new gasket with it? Anything else I should know? Thanks
If the fuel inlets are 1 front [primary float bowl] and 1 back [secondary float bowl] it may be a high performance carb . Yes you need to replace the carb to intake gasket . Get the list #s off the carbs and we can help you with more infoe . Why not rebuild the one you have ?
Alright thanks. Now would both carbs fit? Or would I need to check if I have a single fuel inlet or two. If you know what I mean. Also I want to get an auto choke. But the new ones come with one for only 280. Plus it's a Christmas present. And I'm not sure what numbers you would want.
I would go 0-80458sa advantages [1] site plugs are clear , easy to adjust fuel levels [2] duel feed inlet allows same fuel pressure to primary and sec. fuel bowls , also you can route the gas line from the back or front of this carb on the pass.side [cleaner look and cooler fuel]
