Hello all this is my first post and I am hoping someone can help. I removed the two front seats of my 2000 F150 4 door to do the interior seat covers and upgrading etc. After I disconnected the seats removed the seat cover I reinstalled the front driver seat and re connected the power etc. to it. Once I finished this I tried to start the truck I the dang thing wont start srs says its been engaged and when I open the door the doors interior lights just keep flashing off and on dim. I disconnected the battery and it still does it. Does anyone have any suggestions to wth I can do.

 

So....both seats are back in and no wires left not connected? All fuses good? Does the airbag light in the dash flash when you turn the key on? If you shut off the passenger side airbag, will it start then?

 

The airbag system won't prevent the truck from starting.

You likely pinched a wire or knocked a connector loose while wrestling with the rest of the project.

 

Wasn't there a thread years ago about a guy that had the seats out put them back in and it would crank but no start?? It turned out to be a retractor was grounded (shorted) and after he found that Ford had to reset the SRS. Not possible? Maybe it was on the Mitsubishi site I read for the wifes car.
