Michael, I don't ever plug my truck in. You biggest worry should be gelled fuel. A bottle of 911, and an extra set of fuel filters you should be good!
I read you have brand new batteries, and a new DC alt, so I don't feel you will need a charger.
Pack winter Speedos, and a Banjo, and don't go canoeing with Burt Reynolds!
Changing Gelled Filters suck, especially at -17*f.

Don't know if anyone else mentioned it (didn't read every post) but when you buy fuel in the cold country don't buy it if you see a fuel truck anywhere near the place. In the north, we get significant condensation of moisture in fuel tanks that are subject to hot and cold cycles. That water settles in the bottom of the tanks. Stations are required to remove most of it, but it is impossible to get it all out so tanks are designed to pull fuel from above the very bottom of the tank. When a fuel truck dumps fresh fuel into an underground fuel tank it mixes up the contents of the tank and some of the water can get pumped into your fuel tank if you refuel before the underground tank settles. That water will plug fuel filters and can freeze in fuel lines causing all kinds of headaches. I had one station executive testify in Court that 2 1/2 inches of water at the bottom of the 5000 gallon tank was well within industry standards.

I have very limited internet or cell phone at the cabin.
Been starting easy in 20 degree weather, tomorrow we will see 10 degrees I'm still not plugging in.
It finally snowing
My excursion has never been this dirty, I guess with the tires that stick out all the slop gets everywhere. I will post pics when I get back. So far I only have great things to say about the 6.0, plenty heat inside, warms up quickly, more power than a 7.3 My LSD actually still works well. Love being off the grid, I wonder how my business is going lol
