It looks like the average temps in December and January are in the mid 20s. That isn't even worth plugging the truck in.

14 is the average night temps, but last week they were in the single digits. Tomorrow is suppose to hit 88 here lol

Really not worried, just wanted the basics on what's needed when you drive a diesel in cold climates.

Did you test run the block heater to make sure it works?

You may want the anti gel if you fill up in FL and drive to a cold weather state, but a cold weather state the fuel should have some sort of anti gel in it. Taking along an extra set of fuel filters is a good idea.

Another thing I noticed, in the cold the truck takes more fuel to get warmed up, so in essence your mileage will suffer.

not a flake of snow, and 23f this is allot different from 2 years ago when it was feet of snow and -20f on thanksgiving.

i dont know why the tow strap wasent already part of your ex kit. every vehicle i ever had i purchased a strap for, and jumper cables. its part of the ritual.
