I was driving, and suddenly my check engine light came on, the engine started to run rough. I took it to the dealership, and they pulled these codes - P0303, P0304, P0172 & P0174, and said the fuel injectors went bad, and that messed up the engine, and I need a new engine, and they would also replace the fuel injectors. A couple months before this happened, I had replaced all eight engine coils, and spark plugs.

I then took it to another shop, and they tried changing the fuel injectors, and plugs, but it still ran rough, and their suggestion was a new engine.

Is there any way to fix this without getting a new engine?

 

Cylinders 3 & 4 are misfiring which in turn are likely the cause of the 172 and 174 rich/lean codes. How about swapping the #3 & #4 coils with 2 others on the engine to see if the code moves to the other cylinders? Did anyone do a compression test on cylinders 3 & 4?
