2014 F150 Lariat Question to other owners regarding overspray on hood height support clips
Hello,
I have a general question to other owners of 2014 F150 trucks if they too have factory over spray on the clips securing the hood stands into the radiator support.
I have purchased my truck brand new this year taking advantage of the year-end sell off in Ontario, Canada. This is a 2014 F150 Lariat, which the dealer had to bring in for me from another dealership as ordering them to the specifications I wanted was no longer available from Ford at the time of the purchase. I have given the truck a detailed look-over before I signed the bill of sale, but I guess I must have been too tired at the time to notice that the hood height adjustment peg plastic clips had over spray on them. I do realize that it is very unlikely that the truck was sold as "new" and had work done on it for some reason, but you never know with "stealers" these days. I have also done Google image searches for 2014 F150 engine compartments, and on the few images I did find, there seems to be similar kind of over spray shown on these clips. As I do not see any other evidence that anything was done to the front end of the truck such as over spray, or any tool marks on any components, I'm inclined to believe that these come like this from the factory. I was wondering if other owners of 2014 F150 with similar trim lines can confirm this for me by referencing their trucks. (My truck is a ruby red tricoat finish) I'm attaching a picture of my truck for reference. Thanks in advance for any replies.
