Painting is easy if you are just doing it by the can. I use aircraft paint remover on just about any surface with paint on it before. Plastic I don't, I use the less potent equivalent in the paint section at walmart. Still a gel-like substance. You just spread it on, let it sit, air gun it off and scrape it off. Ready for paint.

Very nice on the paint though! Definitely would've dropped the emblems and painted them alone as well. Not hard to do.

All of my paint jobs that I have done were by the can, I will have to get a can of that stuff and try my luck with the old set of mirrors i got and if it works good use it on the ones that still work right and go from there one piece at a time. Thanks for the advice and sorry if i sorta highjacked a thread from a guy with a beautiful blacked out Ford.
