i haven't put it in yet, so i don't have any results to report just yet.
Thanks, I might get me some of that Dr. Tranny.

My rumble strip issue only occurs when I'm in tow. I hate the sound it makes when it's about to get out of OD.

yeah mine occurred not towing, but will be towing the boat all next summer so even if this fixes it for now i'm still going to do a fluid swap like Mark mentioned in the spring.

Can I ask what brand or name of the friction modifier you used to have solve your issue?

Thank you.
I don't recommend adding friction modifier. I recommend changing all of the fluid, using MERCON V fluid. That fixes about 95% of the transmissions that have this problem.

If yours is making that sound now it will be worse when in tow. I suggest you should get yourself an Edge Evo programmer, I set mine for the tran's option and really like it a lot, nice and firm shifting plus fuel economy increased.

Please report back if fluid flush really does the trick. But IMO these transmissions are weak to say the least.

You need a buddy with a warm barn, hoist, beer fridge, and tools.

That's good news. The beer fridge and hoist will be ready in the spring!

Really! That's awesome and thank you.

Think I might try the additive, shop just told me that a fluid change would do no good, need an overhaul and new torque converter at 169,000 miles
