It actually indicates leak-back in the master cylinder. Air will be spongy but the pedal will hold. Its a dangerous condition. I wouldn't drive the truck with a sinking brake pedal - you never know when you may have to hold pressure on the brakes for more than a few seconds. If the master cylinder is leaking back, it'll go to the floor and your brakes will release.
