1990 F250 with a rebuilt 1992 302 HO
cranks all day long but wont turn over
everything acts and looks normal (fuel pump, warning/notification lights, etc.)
thought the problem was fixed when I replaced the ignition module (side of the distributor) after a new coil plugs wires cap rotor.
ran ok for a few weeks went start it up after the first heavy rain and same thing
where do I start to chase this down GEM? GROUND? EEC?
just so you know I am a novice so will need detailed instructions

 

Go get a hair dryer and use it to dry off/heat up the ignition coil, if the motor fires up immediately you found the problem.

 

It is a new coil but I will try that thanks

 

New does not make it a good working part, same for the plug wires.....el cheapos tend to be bad out of the box.
