Interesting, Corey. I've never seen anything like that.


I would have used 1/8" NPT as well, but if you can make the 1/4-20 work that'll be just fine too.

Being a long time welder myself I'm glad you went that route. Hope it turns out for the best, but I think its only a matter of time.

Those split locks are pretty slick, however I feet they will be nicknamed "crackers" or crack starters in this situation.
