1946 Half ton passed inspection and is registered

Well after almost 3 years, yesterday I took "Norma Jean" over the inspection pits, and she passed straight up and I was issued with registration. I am stoked as you can imagine, and have so many people to thank that we will be throwing a BBQ at our shed shortly for them all. Here are some pics of her now all done.

Very cool. What a nice job. Any Jolly swagman would be proud to park that alongside his billabong. Was it hard to accumulate the US parts, including speed parts in Australia?

Thanks guys, whilst you cant just hop around the corner and pick up bits and pieces, I have all the usual catalogues, Macs, Drakes etc here and there is H & H Flatheads in California who ship to me as well. Match all that with a couple of trips stateside for me with heavier suit cases on the way home to Oz..... and we got it done.

The only glitch I have at the moment is the gearbox noise when you take your foot off, its a bit growly, and the sludge that came out looked like Texas crude. I don't know if the gearbox noise is normal or if there are any additives I can put in it, but we will see how it goes. Maybe a new box down the road.

3 speed or the 4 speed crash box? The 4 speed is as noisy as it is bulletproof.

The good old 3 speed GB, and by the way good luck with the recovery.
