Should I replace STC and oil cooler when I clean the turbo

I have been a long time lurker and have had very few problems with my early 2006 6.0L thanks to all of the great information on this forum.

My problem is that my turbo vanes are starting to stick because I only have 60k miles on my 6.0 (owned since new) so it doesn't get drove as much as it needs to. I have already bought the updated turbo feed and drain lines along with the turbo mounting kit from Auto Nation. In addition to the turbo sticking, I have noticed that my EOT/ECT spread is starting to creep up into the 13-14* F range while cruising down the highway unloaded so I know my oil cooler is starting to lose efficiency (coolant filter was installed at 5,000 miles).

While i have the turbo off for cleaning should I replace the Oil cooler and update the STC fitting so I don't have to do it down the road or should wait till a later date?

Thanks,
Jason

Updates (so far):
Coolant filter, Blue spring kit, CCV reroute, FICM premium repair with Atlas 40

I would update the STC first chance.

Oil cooler is 50/50 IMHO as you could rationalize doing now and also rationalize waiting until it's worse.

I just did all this along with a few other things. I ended up ordering new turbo as my unison ring was stuck and surface it rides on was very rusted and pitted.

I would de do the stc fitting but a coupes of the bolts are a pain with the egr cooler installed. If you are doing the oil collet you will have the intake and egr color out of the way and be easier. But you don't have to pull the intake to do the stc fitting so you can be in and out without much hassle. Just be very carefull when you pull the HPOP pump and cover if you drop anything down there it's a very very bad situation

I've never used a crows foot a day in my life and I've been wrenching since 1996.

Using it for the IPR?

Nope. The HPOP is unbolted and the STC replaced on the bench.

Don't I need to torque the STC with a crowfoot to 49 ft lb?

I used a 1" Craftsman as they don't have a 15/16 and just put a small piece of metal on one side of nut. Worked fine.

Ace or Sears have them, Napa may have one. Cheezit posted pics on this link.

oil cooler replacement ?

only if I was going to have the end take off to and in that case I would probably look at the EGR cooler also unless it has been deleted
