Mouse died in seat

So apparently a mouse wanted to make a home in the driver's seat of my 97. It is my nice truck so this has really made me mad. I've tried searching the web for a write-up of how to tear the seat apart so I can get the mouse out, but I can't find one. I have the "captains chairs". I want to do this right since this is my good truck.

Ick. I had a bird die inside my van. I kept wondering what the odor of decomp was from. Found it later that day. It took a week of open windows before all the smell was gone. I was lucky though as the bird had flown in and gotten trapped behind the seats, not in them.

One possibility would be to physically remove the seat and take it to an upholstery shop. They'd know how to disassemble things and reassemble them correctly. They'd also be able to repair any damage it may have done to the padding if it was nesting.

Ozium works well to get the dead smell out. Spray liberal amounts everywhere and let it sit closed up 24 hours, then open 24 hours. Don't breathe any in, it will make you sick!

Lol. For a couple days I noticed the smell of something dead every time I walked by the front of my truck. After a few days of this I decided to investigate and found a bat mashed up in my a/c condenser.

The seats should come apart fairly easy, if you pull one out and flip it over it should become pretty obvious if I remember right from when I had mine out.

Just think of how many farts have been ripped in that seat since 1997. No wonder the poor little fella died.

I plan to pull the seat tonight, and see what I can do. One thing is for sure, I do NOT feel sorry for the mouse.
