How to use a Hot Flusher machine on the Torqshift as a fluid exchanger @ SDutyS

Anthony's got a hot flusher machine here at SuperDutyService and hasn't had time to figure out how to use it on our trucks as a fluid exchanger. I've been tasked with figuring it out and my truck gets to be the Guinea Pig.

Hot Flusher(the company) says that at the machine Can Not and Should Never be used in-line with the transmission. Especially because of the high pressure reversing flow cycles it does. I can understand if there are any one way valves that this would be a bad idea.

Need input from shops that are using the Hot Flush machine, or Mark Kovalsky.

1. Where it should be connected? (We are thinking post ext filter, right before it hits the cooler)

2. Should the reversing cycles be disabled to mitigate damage to the tranny?

Let's figure this out so Anthony can start doing hot flushes.

Thanks Mark.
I know Ford says to use it, or the Rotunda one. Both of the people I talked to at Hot Flusher said not to and seemed to have no idea what I was talking about.

Ford has a hot flusher for coolers. Is this what he has? If so, they are right, don't connect that to a transmission.

According to their web page, Hot Flusher makes flushers for oil coolers and heat exhangers, not transmissions. Based on that alone I would not use it on a transmission until I had a documented process and procedure from the company that makes it.

In Japan you get hot flushes on the toilets. You also don't use them on transmissions...

This hot flush machine for the transmission is sorta like Bigfoot or a UFO. We just come "that close" to a verifyable sighting. Lol

Give them a call. They will probably be a help, or able to lead to where you need to go.

Or, take a drive to New Hampton, IA. LOL

That is a cleaner if a person wanted to clean a cooler without replacing it.

Not a trans flush machine.

Sounds like something that a hydraulic shop would need. Would
rather flush one of those large exchangers Vs replace it.

Yep. It's to flush out expensive or inaccessible coolers and heat exchangers.

So who makes the "right" machine that actually heats the fluid, and where are the shops that use it connecting it?

Well I think that this is almost the same thing you have on your hands now.
