I would have to agree. Needs a little something to finish the look.

Got the toolbox and Backrack installed finally. And now I'm not sure if I'm going to put on the BSM, because I just noticed that somehow one of them got a really bad bow in it, and I'm not sure if I can straighten it out without damaging it.

Yeah, I know I still need to put on the tailgate badges.

The backrack and toolbox with the diamond plate bed caps did a pretty good job jazzing the truck up a bit.

Installed a couple of tie downs. Got the idea from an old post by Brad.

2,500lb Stainless steel d-rings with grade 8 bolts

My technique for the body side moldings is curl them up a bit and throw them in the freezer.

Wait a couple days, pull them out, use a set of pliers to rip off that metal strip backing, then lay them out flat in the sun.

Works for me.

I scraped off all of the old adhesive, but I didn't know I had to pull off the metal strip too.

The one that It is a problem is actually curved the opposite way you would think. If you picture it on the truck, the middle of the strip is bowed down making it look like it's sagged in the middle.

Truck looks FANTASTIC!!!

I have always liked the working truck look. No BS, just a stock truck with steel wheels and stock size tires. Lift kits, fat tires and lots of chrome never been my thing.

However I do like the chrome lugs, may have to make alittle upgrade on mine.

Well Done!!

Thanks a lot guys.

I've been wanting to get this done for a few years now, and It's almost exactly the way I want it.

And yes I still use it for work, only now it's much nicer to look at

We have dumb tint laws in Iowa too but it doesn't stop me.. Ford windows are fast... Lol

I think you should tint the red of the tail lights or get a spare set from a junkyard and see if you'd like it

I really do want to tint it. I don't really think it is enforced that much around here anyway.
My Dad has an 05 F350 with really dark tint on the front windows (not sure what %) But he has never been pulled over for it. And he's had the truck for 3-4 years.

And I've actually been looking at a new set of tails. I'm just worried about them being too dark, and not being able to see the brake lights good. What do you guys think?

Personally I've never been a fan of tinted tail lights, and especially on a black truck. I've always felt like tail lights were supposed to be red, and I would never intentionally do anything to make any lights less bright. But that's just what i think. It's your truck.

I like the look of smoked lights on certain vehicles. But I will not put them on if I feel they keep the brake lights from being bright enough.
