Does anyone know how to interpret the codes on the sticker in the door jam (i'm not talking about the tag that is attached to the axle)? Like a "23" might mean 8.8-inch with 3.55 ratio, for example. Is there a big chart somewhere that summarizes them?

In the back of your owner's manual is the list of exactly what codes mean what.

18=3.08
19=3.55
H9B=3.55 Limited Slip

I think the codes are good through later years as well,my 90 has H9.The H designates limited slip.

Was the limited slip an extra feature anyone could get on their truck? Or were they desinated to certain types of trucks???
