The powertrax is awesome, from what I've heard, but not quite perfect for street manners.

I think it's hard to beat air or electric manual lockers; open diffs when you have traction, full lock when you need traction in mud or snow.

Maybe a minority opinion, but guys that use 4x4 lots, like me, don't seem to like it all that much.
Since getting my detroit locker ive hardly needed 4wd in my truck, with the rear locked up the truck can go through almost anything. It's nice to be able to pull off the road to look at a nice buck standing in a field and then pull away without having to get out and lock the hubs because the stock LS wouldn't get the truck moving

See I prefer limited slip when it's not locked. Especially when traction issues can be sudden, such as a patch of ice or mud. I have open right now. If I was planning on keeping my 2005 F150 long-term, I would put a Powertrax on it.

How much does the Detroit Tru-Track system cost and how much of a job, or costly, is it to install? When I regeared our '09 F-250 with 4.30's at the same time I installed a brand new factory LS clutch pack since the truck was/is still under warranty.

Even with the new Ford clutch packs it still isn't satisfactory and would like to get something that is more positive when needing both rear wheels pulling.
