Idaho's November 2014 BS Thread
Happy November everyone.
My clothes washer quit working today. It appears the timer isn't functioning properly in some of the cycle settings. Wife and daughter had to wash the clothes at the coin-op place. They are NOT happy right now.
A new timer is in the $125 - $130 range, plus shipping. I've replaced most of the major parts on this washer already. Can't decide if I should replace the timer or not. If I decide to not replace the timer, I need to figure out how to afford a new washer. I'm not even going consider trying to match a new washer to the old dryer.
I can't win. Back to doing homework. Research papers and a bunch of other assignments are coming due and I'm so far from being done, I can't see daylight. I don't know how these college kids keep up this grueling pace.
I hope I find a job by graduation day. I need some rest!

Thanks, Shaun. Due to its age, I guess it's to be expected.
I think you're right about it getting ready to go. I know there are more efficient models out there now, so we'll probably hit the upcoming sales to see what's out there AND what we can afford. This reduces funds in the project budget for my Mustang and truck. Oh well. I don't want the women-folk mad at me. If we don't get another washer/dryer (they have to match, right?) soon, the gals will have to keep going to the laundromat to do laundry. I don't see that working out for me too well.

Ain't that the truth, Pat! How's everyone doing?
I've been busy trying to figure out how to write a research paper for my Health Delivery Systems class. I have no idea what I'm doing and it's due Thursday. It's in APA style and I have no experience with that style. I've found examples on the 'net, but they all differ from each other, so it's confusing me even more than I already am. If I could find two or three APA-style papers that "match" I might have a fighting chance on how to write the paper, but I'm not having any luck.
The topic is, "Is health care in the United States a right, privilege or responsibility?" I've contacted the BSU library staff for help, too. They've been great, but I'm not a good writer/researcher. I'm doing the best I can, but with all the unrelated information out there, it's difficult to weed out the junk from the good stuff. Say prayer for me. I think it's going to take a miracle to get a good grade on this paper.
Anyone have any examples they'd be willing to share?
Oh well, Susi is at Costco buying groceries. We're heading out to look for a washer/dryer when she gets back.
