Have heard you could use a tank sender out of a 65/68 Mustang, 1967/68 Cougar & 1964/65 Falcon? Has any one ever done this? Would like to fill from inside the bed.
1965/68 Mustang & 1967/68 Cougar have a 16 gallon tank (C5ZZ-9002-D), use the same fuel tank sender (C8ZZ-9275-C).

This sending unit was also used on 1964/65 Falcons, but the Falcon tank is different.

1969 & 1971/73 Mustang/Cougar have a 20 gallon tank. 1970 Mustang/Cougar have a 22 gallon tank.

All the fuel filler tubes are located at the rear of the tank.

Side fill? Do what TPDaniels did and use a tank spec'ed for a 72-80 International Scout...

Yes, I know that, but since he was asking about the Mustang fuel tank sending unit, I thought he'd like to know about the Mustang tanks...which are the most common tanks used for this conversion.
