That sucks Jim, I`m sure something will pop for you between now and then. What are the businesses?

The two businesses I tried to start was the car flipping business right after I got the second settlement check, which did not work because basically, I bought the wrong cars. One POS Jetta that had more wrong with it (read $$$) than the PO told me, and the two Jaguars which one never buys to flip. The 20 grand I gave to my brother to start his Christian Publishing business did not attract enough clients to make it work, and then my attempt at making it at car hauling didn't work because I started it too late. I was getting jobs, and making some money, but not enough to make rent. I know all businesses start out slow, and you need to build it up, but I started the car hauling when I did not have enough money to use as an emergency/buffer fund, and I quit that before I found myself several hundred miles from home with a broken rig, and a customer's vehicle on the triailer I still had an obligation to deliver. I believe if I had started the car hauling business with my settlement money instead of the car flipping business, I would be doing it today.

My biggest problem was the lack of research in starting either one of the businesses. I did not know about U-Ship.com until after I took the Jaguar XJ-S up to Chico. However, by that time, I had already made bad decisions in the truck/trailer rig I did buy for the flipping business, and the vehicles I had originally bought for myself, then had no choice but to try and flip them.

If I had stuck to my plan of buying a diesel powered pickup, that would have helped, and the trailer I bought needed more money to get it to work for my situation. I should have waited to find one better suited for hauling vehicles. Also, my original plan was to not spend more than $1,000 on a vehicle to flip. Look for "mechanic's specials" Had I stuck to that I would not have lost my shirt on the two Jags, or that Jetta.

Of course hindsight is 20/20, and there is nothing I can do now about all the bad decisions I made in the past except to learn from them.

Happy Monday Nor Cal. Hope everyone has a great day.

I contacted an attorney referral network this weekend and received a response today, and both attorneys they gave me are in Southern California. One in Century City, and the other in LA. Sure, I'll travel down there for a free consultation.

I changed the icp in the 6.0l 2 weekends ago and that fixed my stalling issue .

Drove it once to school and work, about 150 miles round trip, and I'm warming it up for a few minutes to leave my parents house sunday night and she starts missing hard... Got a code for cylinder 4 high voltage/ low contribution... I'm so tired of working on this thing.

Happy humpeth day Nor Cal. Must have gotten some rain here last night as the ground is still wet. Even though the weather channel stated it would not rain. Go figure.

Rick, that sucks about your truck. I had an '88 Ranger I could never get to work right. I know the frustration you must be feeling.

Totally randomly. Sometimes 3-4 times a day, sometimes not at all. I only drove it about 200 miles after replacing the icp but it all seemed good.

I'm pretty certain the ficm harness is loose as I broke one of the retaining clips on the rearmost plug. I got a good click out of it when I plugged it back in, but it's pretty common for them to wiggle when theyre missing a clip...

@ Jim
It rained sideways in Weed today. I hate that place so much...

Jim, just Google social security disability attorney in Fresno.

Google is how I located our attorney.
