Well,

After 11months of watching the races, Race Hub during the week, etc, I'm kinda looking forward to taking a break.

After an awesome race last week and the 10 week Chase, the right guy won the trophy.

January's Daytona week isn't too far away though.

Putting in a shower instead?

I won't say never, but the sledge will be my last resort. If the cut-off wheel doesn't work, my second choice will be a cheap air chisel from HF. THAT! will be loud. But I'm well stocked with hearing protection.

I would love to have that old tub for some kind of planter, or dog bath, or...oh I don't know what. Probably would end up as something to trip over. But I'm thinking that if I can't pull it out, maybe I could cut around the inner tub a couple three inches below the rim and have a sort of free standing tub. Maybe half bury it and make a redneck fish pond out of it.

Kind of getting ahead of myself. Gotta get it out first. This bathroom had tile around the whole shell, including the ceiling. It's been a job getting it out and I'm about 1/2 done. The stuff around the tub is set in a mortar bed. The lower half of the rest is set on the lath, and the upper half and ceiling was done later and is set with thinset over painted plaster. That last part is popping right off easily. The floor tile is on a mortar bed too, but I haven't put much thought into that yet. Just know it will suck.

The good news is that it sounds like it was installed properly to begin with.
Who thinks it will ever be removed later?
Enjoy.
Any pics?

I am happy to report that Bakersfield has been peaceful throughout this Ferguson hoopla. Unfortunately that's not the case in many areas.
