transfer case oil seal

transfer case oil seal
OK, so i'm replacing my speedo drive gear on a 93 ranger, pretty easy to do. now that i'm putting it back together there is a small rubber washer that was on the spline shaft when i removed the yoke. does this just sit inside the hole of the yoke behind the steel washer? so you put the yoke on, tuck the rubber washer inside around the spline shaft, put on the steel washer and then the nut?

Since no one replied yet (I hope it's not too late to do any good) I took a look at the shop manual for a '95. The manual says to install the yoke, then the rubber seal, then the washer and then the nut. So the seal is squished between the washer and the shoulder on the output shaft.
Assumption: the transfer case on your '93 is the same / similar to that on the '95.
