What set screws?

I am trying to remove the upper chain case bearing Mike. I think the jack shaft bearing is pressed on and holding the chain case cover on making it hard to remove the upper. Any tricks?

Good morning Guys.

Cory, you cannot take off the chain case unless you remove the drive shaft. Or are you just trying to remove the cover. I am confused by your post.

Cory, use a cutting torch.

I sent off my order of sled parts. A few idler wheels and bearings for the ZL, a set of rear shocks for the ZL (ugh), driveshaft and jackshaft bearings for the ZR and ZL and idler bearings for the ZR. Also picked up a full body cover and a windshield bag for the ZR. Now if only I could get motivated to work on them. LOL

Thanks Jim.
He did live a log time, especially after being a house cat for 4 years and then getting moved outside.

Broke the screen to the point it wouldn't work anymore. Got the same phone(3 years newer) and an Otter Box case for $65.

Yeah, the Strap On guy.......... You'd think with the amount of money Dave and Bender have spent he'd show up regularly........

Yes it does. The kids will be the most sad. He has been around all the years of the 2 youngest...

Upper chain case bearing should come out pretty easy.

That's what I thought Mike. Bearing broke apart and both inner and outer are stuck. Must have heated up before breaking? I have seen the whole chain case off in videos but none that show exactly how it comes off.

Is the bearing stuck on the shaft?

I'm guessing it is by what he is describing Chris. Inner and outer races stuck.
