Personal Property Tax
What are some of you guys paying for a 2011+ F350 DRW 13,800# GVWR if you don't mind me asking?
I "built" a truck on Ford's site, and am entertaining buying a 2015. The truck would cost $37k....at an assessed value of $35k at 3.5%, the PP Tax each year would be about $1225. Does this sound close?
Most of my vehicles before were either too old and didn't cost anything other than the VLF fee....or like my '06 Ram which was assessed by the county at $11k....but book value was $22k. Would the county assess my new truck at half book value too?
I just don't want to be surprised when tax time comes if I buy a 2014 or 2015 truck...

You can try... Sometimes they go by the Mfr. rating no matter what you put down.

You got a vehicle tax like THAT?
Shucks - I ain't never going back but to visit....
What happens if its old? Do they down rate it?
What if I buy a wreck for $500 and register it?
*You know come to think of it, I got the truck I started on FTE with for $400 cash
