so sick of this high idle.

Okay, mine is feeling better today.
I pulled the IAC last night when I got home. I pull the solenoid off the valve portion(two small screws). I then cleaned both with brake clean and then a shot of PB blaster into the solenoid portion. Give it a shake, it should rattle easily.
I think I know what I did wrong the last time. I used chain wax (comes in spray can) to lubricate it. That was fine when it was warm out, but now it being in the 40's the lubrication is too stiff and not allowing it to move easily and it would screw with my idle speed after letting off the pedal.
Today it is back to good. The transmission is downshifting better also, likely because the idle is not so high and screwing with it. I hate that AOD to begin with...having it shift stupid really annoyed me.

update
Well here's an update I cleaned the heck out of the iac (no change) blocked the egr. no change. plugged the tube behind the engine previous owner never did that after remoVing smog pump. No change. Then I removed the conector to the tab and tad and now the truck runs way better but now I have a cel and it still will idle high on occasion but sometimes I can give it some gas and it will go back down sometimes it wont. But now it only idles high every once in a while as apposed to when it use to do it every time I pushed in the clutch. Any more ideas.
