Hey everyone I wanted to share with you guys something that's coming up next month that's pretty frikkin cool.

BFG is sponsoring a trip called "Rocks to Riches" and we will be making an off road trek to Las Vegas. They reached out to a handful of people from all across the internet. Another Ford participant has to drop out so my buddy will also be in attendance in his place and I believe we are the sole representatives from FTE and Fords, although I haven't seen the full roster. The rest are coming in Jeeps, Yodas, etc.

It's a 2 day event all expenses paid (except fuel) and we are staying in Vegas one night at a very nice hotel. BFG is really putting on a nice show.

As most have realized, this is a promotional event, however other than my expenses being covered, I'm not paid in any way. This event is to promote their new BFG AT KO2 tire, which is reported to be making an appearance on the trip. I'm in the market for some new tires so this should be interesting.

I will of course be posting pictures and stuff from the event, and am excited and thankful for BFG extending this opportunity to me!

If anyone has any specific questions about the trip or new tire, this is the place to ask.

 

Wow, your lucky is all I have to say. Should be a great experience. Hopefully you get lots of pics and videos. I sure would love to see them.

I have no questions about the event or tire, but will you be taking your truck or your buddy's truck?

Yes, my truck and his truck will both be there. Originally he was just my +1 but when another Ford member couldn't make it I got my buddy on the list.

We have one gopro and I'll have my camera. I might pick up a gopro before then too.

 

I've been waiting for the KO2s to come out.

 

If you could ask how they've gotten more mileage out of the tire. Ie change in compound or tread pattern. The tires were at a truck show I was in last week and they compound seems even softer then the originals. I was considering then but was quite concerned about burning through them like I did with the originals

I will ask the guys there running them how they are wearing. Also, BFG should be monitoring this thread to answer your compound question. If they dont see it, I will ask over a camp fire on the first night.

My truck has spent the last week in the shop with a... "minor" problem. It cut it close, but the shop is turning over the keys to me today and we hit the road this weekend for the tip!

 

There was some contact in the rear diff.

 

Glad the shop got it back together.

Looking forward to seeing how the Super Duty compares to the other "built" rigs. Have fun.
