Sorry for the delay guys! Following my Rocks to Riches trip, I spent 3 nights in Death Valley camping.
So heres the low down on the BFG trip. It was awesome. There were 3 groups represented, Yotatech, JK-Forum and Ford-Trucks. There were many Jeeps, 3 Toyotas (one was a 2015 Tacoma on loan from Toyota as a press vehicle), and myself and my friend from FTE. He wasnt initially on the list but another FTE'r had to drop out.
One member from Yotatech and one from JK-Forum were each given a set of new BFG KO2 tires prior to the trip to drive and test. From what they said, they loved them. One I can quote saying "I'm used to sliding through corners. But I couldn't break them loose." The tire is, to me, very similar looking to the T/A KOs.
Unfortunately I did not get a set, so I dont have any first hand experience of the tires. I am going to try and get in touch with someone at BFG to get some questions answered for you guys though, as I'd like to have something more than stories and pictures to bring to the table (speaking of pictures....)
The trip was a blast. All who attended were awesome, and I even got to meet some IB people along the way. We started off in Barstow at a small diner for breakfast. We then traveled 200+ miles in the Mojave preserve. We stayed one night at a small campsite, where dinner was catered, and left the next morning for out final destination at the New York New York hotel in Las Vegas. We arrived in full dirt covered gallantry to full valet service right along side some unamused Merc, and BMW owners, as a line of beat up off road rigs pulls along side them. No, not all of the vehicles fit in the parking garage We checked into our rooms, cleaned up and headed out to dinner at a restaurant in the hotel for food and drinks. Did I mention that all of this is paid for on a nice shiny BFG credit card?
The trip was a blast, and I couldnt have asked for better company to go along.
There were a few battle wounds. A yota had starter issues following a water crossing, and later broke a shock mount, Jeep smashed a hole in its oil pan with a high flying front diff, and my buddies Ford had a ground wire come loose. And gasoline was a rationed commodity among the spark plug owners. But that's all part of the fun!
I would like to thank all of the FTE members, as they all had a small part in this as a member making this forum as great as it is, and to IB for allowing me to participate in this event.
Now, on with the pictures!

Blue and yellow lights are used off road as navigation lights, similar to what airplanes and boats use, to identify orientation and direction of travel at night or in dust.
His were cool, but that is a SEMA Jeep, and I think those were more show than function, because I was behind him most of the trip and they werent quite bright enough. But they look SWEEET. The amber actually cut through the dust. The blue was easily obscured.

Our sister forum JK-Forum.com has released an article on this trip.
In it you will find narration skillfully crafted by a gentlemen who works for IB, who was on the tip with us. Also you will find many pictures, many taken by an IB photographer. Also a video, made by a Yotatech.com (another sister site) member.
