Well I got that bolt out.......whew!! Tough one. PB blaster used liberally helped, and the right size Torx.


I can't figure out how to remove the "star" bolt that holds the bed extender in. There is one on each side extender.
I need to get that extender out to mount a slide in camper.

That bold head moves slightly, but seems to tighten up both ways.

I took a photo of that bolt head but I guess I don't have the proper permissions to attach it.

I removed the bed extender on my 2014 and the star bolts came out as normal, lefty loosey. Sounds like the threaded anchor thingys in your bed might be spinning with the bolts??

 

It's a stock OEM bed extender.

It was just a beech to get out.
