71 F250 Pulls to the Right while Braking
I just bought a 1971 F250 that pulls to the right while braking. I've replaced the wheel cylinders and flex hoses on both sides and the adjuster assembly on the left side because it wasn't operating properly. I adjusted the brakes so that the shoes are tighter on the left side but it's still pulling right. I've taken both left and right side brakes apart completely and reassembled them. All the steering and suspension components seems to be okay, nothing appears broken or bent. I even double-checked the tire pressure on both sides. It seems to pull more after driving it around a little. Any help is appreciated.

Two things I would check first, this truck should have the four drum brake system, which require the drums to be turned on brake lathe within .005 from left to right on each axle or you will get brake pull.Another thing I experienced on my 75 f-250, was a faulty paportioning valve causing un even pressures to wheel cylinders.

Thanks for the suggestion
Thanks for the suggestion crop harvester. I checked the drum on the left side and it was really worn where the shoe makes contact. The wear pattern had created ridges on the inner and outer parts of the drum contact areas. After pressing the brake pedal a few times the shoe was getting hung up on one of the ridges and wasn't making full contact with the drum. The right side drum didn't have this wear pattern. I don't know why I didn't notice this before. The drums were too warn to be turned so I replaced both of the drums and both sets of shoes and the brakes work perfectly now.
