Just wondering if i can unbolt the front suspension and drop it all out as one from underneath. I know there are other connections that need to be dealt with but just wondering if it was possible or just easier to go the old fashioned way.

Suspension yes. With engine , no. Heads are wider than the frame rails.

So i am revisiting this topic. I was lookong at the frame rails in relation to the valve covers. The passenger side is very tight where the drivers side is clear by a few inche. The biggest issue is the timing chain portion of the valve cover is the widest portion of the enginr it seems. When I look at the front of the frame at the radiator it flares out several inches and after removing the radiator it looks like the motor will slip throught the frame rails.

Does anyone know anyone who has at least tried this? I wonder if there willl be any issues with the motor sitting on the k memer without the frame rail support.

You are going to have to disconnect it from the motor mounts eventually so why not now? I think it would be a lot easier.

Save room, dont have to disconnect certain items like power steering. Easier to store. Might not have to take them apart from one another.
