2014 F250 keyless entry code
#17
Problem fixed! Sales called and asked that I bring the truck in and they would take care of it.. when we got there yesterday, he came out with a small box in his hand, it was a new after market entry key pad with a new number. So it was after market after all.. but then some other trucks on the lot had the same keypad even tho some had a different look to them.
Salesman said he needed to find someone in the tech department to put it on as he didn't know how,, my son was with me and he is technically inclined, so the salesman handed it to him and said thanks and if you have a problem, come on back down.
No charge and no computer hook up...
thanks for all the replies and help...

Well , you may have but I have learned that when you look at the keypad, one that is factory installed is embedded into the area of the handle and lock and the one that is after market is a keypad that sticks to the door , where ever you want it, with it's own master code, not the one we have been looking for, then you have to have both keys in order to program the truck computer and this keypad together , after that you can change the code to one you want but as with the installed one, the master code never changes. To me, this is not as secure as one that is factory installed as the keypad just peels off and a new one is stuck in it's place.
thanks

thanks for looking out for me. I do have a question about the keyless entry?
My son found a number beneath the dash that he feels may be the factory code had the keyless entry been factory installed originally, but the 5-digit number has an L after it. Just curious , would this maybe have been the original master code?
thanks
