Accelerator Pedal V10 Compatible with 7.3?

Was wondering if the adjustable accelerator pedal out of a V10 excursion will work in a 7.3 diesel excursion?

It is not, I found this out Spring or Summer of 2006 when Ed mistakenly sent me one from a V10 Excursion when I needed one for a 7.3.

Well, was hoping they were compatible. Found one from a Ex being parted out pretty cheap. Thanks for the info.

Just out of curiosity, what is different about them? Throw? I was actually wanting to put a set of power adjustable pedals in my v10, as I have it in my 6.0 and they're awesome for those with shorter legs. I was hoping to pass the v10 to the wife when the 6.0 was up and running again, but she's only 4'9" tall, so without the adjustable pedals she'd never be able to reach. She can reach the ones in the 6.0 with them adjusted all the way out, but she's not getting that truck...

Isn't the 7.3 a "drive by wire"?

I know the gassers are all throttle cable.

Yes, the V10 is cable, and diesel is "drive by wire". Can't remember if the V10's actually came with the adjustable position pedals. Probably did, but don't remember what year it might have started in gassers.

I do remember a bunch of the diesel assy's being handed over the counter to the shop when I was with Ford!! They did have a few teething problems with "drive by wire"!!!

Want to part with them?

Searching ebay isn't yielding much results. It's great for now, but if I want my wife to drive it, I need to find a set.
