1994 F-150 302 exhaust

Im looking to put an exhaust system on my 1994 F-150 5.0 V8

It is a 2wd drive truck, and i am looking to put Flowmasters on it. What would be the best pipe size to run the system with? I am going to put a single in dual out flowmaster super 44 and was wondering as to what the best pipe set up would be.

Here is a clip of my truck running a Jones Exhaust Full Boar muffler (Flowmaster equivalent) its a 2.5" single in/single out exiting in front of the passenger rear tire.

In the video I am running BBK shorty headers, Magnaflow direct fit y-pipe with cats and a single in/single out Jones Exhaust Full Boar muffler

Anyways here you go... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9WY...ature=youtu.be

Matching your stock pipe size to the Super 44 would be the easiest thing for you to do. That would mean picking up a 2.25" single in/ 2.25" dual out muffler. Otherwise, Flowmaster offers an American Thunder Cat-back kit for your truck. The American Thunder kit uses 2.50" tubing and a 2.50" single in/ 2.50" dual out Super 50 series muffler. This kit is available in both stainless and aluminized steel and includes exit pipes for both dual out rear and dual out side configurations.

I went with a Y pipe to 3in single into a flowmaster 10 series, then dual 2.5in that come out in front of the rear passenger tire with 3in chrome tips. I had a stock cat in before, then took it out and it roars. pretty cheap also. I imagine the super 44 would sound great. Are you going to keep your cat?

I plan on keeping the cat simply because of legal issues... i'm wanting to run a single in dual out muffler (preferrably Flowmaster), then run those dual pipes straight out the back of the truck. i would like to use the stock pipes if i can (2.50"), but is it possible to run a 3.00" pipe from the cat-back? or would that throw something off?

Currently I'm Running Super 40 Series, True Dual, with Electric Cut Outs.
Its Throaty but not obnoxious. But Thats what the Cut Outs are for.

You could step up to 2.50", but 3.00" pipe will be overkill for your application and you will most likely notice some loss in bottom end torque.
