I have both a 2004 F-350 6.8 2v with 4.10's and a 2011 F-250 and 6.2 with 3.73's.

Pulling the same trailer the 6.2 seems to have the same if not more power than the V-10.

However, the V-10 is a dually and with the camper in the bed makes the dually weigh around 3K pounds more, so not a good apples to apples comparison.

6.2 is no slouch as far as power.

My 6.2 is a sleeper. Regular cab, 4x2, 4.30, truck is quick, definitely could take some fast cars out there in a quarter mile race.

After test driving a 6.2L this weekend and logging some 0-60 times, the stock 6.7L diesel holds absolutely no advantage over the 6.2L. In fact, spooling up the 6.7L for a boosted launch barely pulled a TENTH or two over the 6.2L. Loaded would be a different deal, but for a daily driver and towing several thousand pounds, it was extremely clear to me the diesel is not with $8,000 on my next purchase.

That's why I traded my '08 6.4 Powerstroke for my '15 6.2l - never looked back!

haven't tried the 93 tune yet because I only put in 12 gallons of 93 to fill up. switched to the 89 tune and can't really tell any difference. mileage is the same. shifting is same too. next 93 fill up i'll switch to the 93 tune. I have to say i'm happy with the way this this tuner works over stock. throttle response and shifting up and down is better.

What kind of mileage are you seeing? I was close to deleting, but now I think I'm looking toward reliability of a 6.2L.

18 Highway/15 City, plenty of torque, quiet and much less maintenance (Oh yeah, NO MORE inconvenient Regens!)

I just have to laugh! Having owned a 6.2, I was pretty impressed with the performance of it. Just a few days ago, I was listening to a Dodge 6.4 Hemi owner running his mouth about getting 21 hiway mpg, so I went to some Dodge forums to see what people were saying they were actually getting, and ended up reading about the performance of the hemi.....a lot of the posts were almost just like reading some of these here...word for word, except there the Dodge was the dog, and Ford/GM were the performers! Lol! I think some people have no clue what it takes to pull an 8000 pound truck around!

I spent 15 years going up hills in crane trucks that felt steep enough in the cab that i'd go over backwards. As long as i'm moving forward I don't really care what speed its at. All the power in the world doesn't mean anything if you're broken down with all those emission controls on the side of the road. I chose the 6.2 liter for that reason. It still has stuff on there that I can work on. Probably cost the same to replace the engine as injectors cost in the 6.7 unless injectors have gotten cheaper in the last few years. I'll take slow and steady over fast and broken down any day. From what i hear the 6.7s are good but i've spent enough time in diesel trucks that a nice quiet simple gas engine is a relief.
