replacing water pump... van won't crank

Replaced water pump in my 97 aerostat van and now it won't crank. Did everything was told to do. No water leaks, thermostat won't open because van only runs a few seconds before it dies. I unplugged the timing senser while battery was hooked up. Duh. Lol. Anyways need help.

Just to correct your post..........

"............van only runs a few seconds before it dies.........."

You have crank, you have a "No Start" condition.

I really don't know the Areo van, but I'll suggest that you double check all the electrical connections, that there tightly connected. One from the crank sensor/distributor or IAC, could have been knocked loose while you we doing the water pump.
