2007 Power steering leak

My 2007 F-150 just developed a power steering leak. pretty severe as it burned thru about a quart in 4 miles.. looks to be coming from either the power steering pump or the line behind it. It drips right onto the oil filter ( 4.6L ).. is this a common faliure? what part is likely needed? Truck just turned over 77k miles

Sounds like a bad hose. Don't be shy - see if you can see a crack near the fitting by bending the hose. Maybe you can put some power steering fluid in, run the engine and see where its coming from.
