Cool Pulling my hair out re: heater *****

Long time reader, first time poster.

I'm going crazy trying to figure out how to remove the ***** for the heater controls in my '65 Econoline. There are three *****; the center one is on a "D"-shaped shaft, so that's cake. The outside ones (with bezels labeled "TEMPERATURE CONTROL" & "PULL FOR HEAT") are on round shafts with no visible set screws in the side of the *****.

What am I missing? I know there's some Econoline guru out there with the right answer...

Thanks in advance!

So. It turns out that the one on the "PULL FOR HEAT" control is cast onto the cable end; I decided to get a bit medieval on it and pulled it off. Alas...

At least I know how, and I see some epoxy mixing in my future.

The bezels and ***** for these two cables were not available by themselves, were only furnished with the cables.
