Try putting more DEF in, if you can't then it's full...

I tow a LOT, and get about 4600 miles to a tankful of DEF.

 

My suggestion...is to get the ford spout. Then use it to fill the tank. It seals around the opening and will quit allowing more def into the tank when full. This is important for the winter time when the tank might freeze. Over filling the tank could cause a problem.


With heavy towing I get around a tank full every 5k as well.


I would run it down till you get the 200 miles till empty message and then fill till full.

 

thanks for the info just bought this about a week ago only put about 400 mile on it so far no load but great idea's a little less than a tank of fuel

 

FYI, for two trucks that require def, I've bought ONE bottle of def in 3 years...

(I go to the truck stops that have def pumps for $2.79 per gallon and I don't have to buy, carry,fight ,pay more for bottles )
