97 vs 03 parts interchangeability

Quick question guys. Trying to buy a wrecked in front 03 super crew. Also found a cheap 1998 ext cab parts truck with blown motor (v6?). Would the front cap including hood bumper lights etc swap right over? What about condenser and radiator? If there are any differences let me know before I purchase these. Thanks!

all front body parts will swap over. radiaotr could be larger on the v-8 model, A/C condesor may have different mounting brakets due to different radiator, you might or might not have a tranny cooler on either truck if one of them came with a towing package, if you get one form the two, install it. other than that it should all match up

the outer skins adn bumper design were slightly different, but they will bolt up, all of one, or all of the other will bolt onto the doghouse. ISFA what individual piece will mix and match I am not sure. I know that the grilles and bumpers and slightly differnet between them EG: you can use a pre2000 grill headleignts etc., on the later bumper but there will be a gap where the 2000+ bumper dips, will it work? yes but slightly different. sheet metal is sheetmetal. they will bolt on in the same model range, thoguh there are slight mods which must be dealt with.

good luck.

as ken said everythign should be the same but grille and bumper. 97 & 98 bumpers were flat accross their top. IE straight bumper pad. 99+ the grill dropped down approx 2" into the bumper between the headlights. On my 98 i made teh mistake of buying a 2000 grille. I ended up using it and just pushed teh bumper up tight to it. that caused about an 1.5" gap under the headlights. doesnt look all that bad. with that the 97-98 ford emblems were smaller that the 99+ i bought one for a 98 and it wouldnt fit properly.
