No when I installed the leds a while ago I installed resistors which were too close to the wires which then melted the wire jacket after a while of use.

Ohhh. Just to throw the idea there, heat shrink is a better solution if it is possible. It doesn't wear out as quick. 😉

I would however I would have to cut the wire to get the heat shrink on which is why I opted for electrical tape it's not my preferred solution but best I could do at 9:30 lol.

I'm going to get some led tail lights soon so I may replace the socket at that point and properly shoulder and heat shrink the wires.

So I had another cool idea today lol, I want to do an hid retrofit for the expy as well and I would rather have halos or something as running lights because running HIDs at 70% power is bad for the ballasts so when I get the black headlights I was going to have plain an simple do them again like the 250s only do something like this for drls.

Been thinking about Exhausts on and off and i think i nailed down what i want here it is:

Ehaust system:
Amazon.com: Magnaflow 16607 Stainless Steel 3" Single Cat-Back Exhaust System: Automotive Amazon.com: Magnaflow 16607 Stainless Steel 3" Single Cat-Back Exhaust System: Automotive

Headers:
Amazon.com: Gibson GP218S-C Ceramic Coated Performance Header: Automotive Amazon.com: Gibson GP218S-C Ceramic Coated Performance Header: Automotive

Still shopping around for prices right now Amazon is the cheapest, does anyone have experience with headers on these trucks? i know the SD 5.4l's are a PITA to get headers on but they make them still.

My main focus is on the F250 this summer but i want to start on the Expy i might do some speakers, a bigger subwoofer and the lift/rims/tires as well as exhaust we will see what i get to but my plan is to keep my current tires/rim for winter.

I like them, but I say put the cash towards shoving the 6BT the F250 if the stock stuff on the Expy is fine. Do the speakers and stuffs, but go easy on the mechanical work until another vehicle is back on the road

Yes, I am trying to save you money

I would look at Stainless works long tubes. Shorties are not what you want to run on a truck, they tend to provide nice mid and high RPM gains. You want low to mid with maybe some top end or at least equal top end. Magnaflow is about the only choice for exhaust. I prefer Corsa however you take what you can get.

Thanks i will look into those! I am assuming i would need a custom exhaust at that point? Only assuming because wont the long tubes exit lower than the manifolds/shorty headers do so. Not a big deal i have a local custom exhaust place near me that my 2nd cousin works at but i to give the exhaust a shot myself lol.
